Wow! What a day we’ve had! You won’t believe what happened!
Today was Pirate Day in class Jonah! We all came dressed as Pirates! The classroom had been transformed and Captain Irwin and Captain Kippen were talking funny!
We had cool costumes with hooks and swords, some of us had even grown beards overnight!
In the morning we did Pirate activities. We played in the Jonah Pearl, Pirate water, Pirate sand, Pirate playdoh and cleaned the Pirate chicks out. We made Pirate passports, earrings, telescopes, Pirate wedding dresses and pirate cakes! Even John the Rector came in for a spot of treasure spotting!
In the morning we realised some of our Class Jonah treasure had been stolen, we thought it might have been Captain Hook! After lunch we came back and Bobby found a map!
We looked at the map and thought the treasure was in the allotment, so off we went!
It turned out it wasn’t there, so we had another look! Then we saw John and he gave us a plank to use!
We then decided we should look up near the field and the trees!

But we couldn’t find it there either! Then Evie realised we’d gone past it on the path…after a long look Daniel saw a funny object hidden under leaves and branches it was a Treasure chest!
It was full of our treasure and Pirate Treasure! We took it down to the classroom to have a closer look.
In the afternoon we also played Pin the eyepatch on the Pirate and Pirate Bingo!
Then we walked the plank and ate our Pirate cakes and crisps!
We talked about our day…
Evie said the best thing was ‘everything what we did’, Jacob liked ‘the walking the plank’. Becky liked ‘finding the treasure’ and Lucas said Captain Irwin was the ‘best pirate Teacher ever!’. Captain Irwin obviously had nothing to do with writing that on the blog!! 🙂
We all had a great time! Now to go home and dream about finding more treasure.
