Visit to the Travel Agents

Today we went on a visit to Congleton to visit a Travel Agent.

We looked around the shop at the brochures.
At the desks where the Travel Agents sit.       Then we got to pick a holiday we would like while we waited for the lady to see us.

We had lots of questions. Like how do you get on a cruise ship? How long does itvtakento go on holiday to Florida? Did she get free holidays? How does the foreign money get into the travel agents and …      How did she book a holiday?  Great questions Class Jonah and brilliant behaviour.
A special thank you to Jodi’s mum and Jacob’s dad, and especially to Edward Blythes mum. If you hadn’t have driven us we couldn’t have gone. 😀

Help with Travel Agent trip

travelagents

Dear Parents,

I am still hoping to hear if there are any volunteers to drive us to the travel agents on Monday 15th in the afternoon. Remember volunteers do not have to be mum’s or dads they can be relatives or friends of the family who are willing to help.

We would need you to come to school for just after 1pm and stay with us probably until half past 2-2.45. If you can help when we get back to school, I would let you and your child go home early on our return. 😉

Please can you let Miss Irwin know if you are free to help ASAP. We need 4 cars and drivers.

Many Thanks.

Mow Cop Trip

Today we want to Mow Cop castle to see the remains of the folly.

It was a bit windy but luckily the rain had stopped.
We all walked around the different parts, looked out at the view and tried to recognise the different parts of the castle.

Then we sat down to do some drawings of the castle.

Thank you to all the mummies who came to help today. We couldn’t have gone with out you-  Judah’s mum, Kalebh’s mum, Lucie’s mum and Mrs Hamilton, Miss Sample and Mrs Irwin. 😃

Mow Cop visit update

As you are aware Miss Irwin tried to arrange a trip to Mow Cop for today but unfortunately did not have enough help.

We would still like to try to go before half term.

Is anybody free next Wednesday afternoon?

We need 1 or possibly 2 cars with a driver that can hold 2/3 children seats.

Please let Miss Irwin know ASAP if  can help.

Glebe farm visit

This afternoon we walked over to the farm to gather information For our topic and learn about farm shops and farm animals.

First we went into the shop to see what they were selling.

Then we gave Hannah the money for our animal food bags and tractor ride and set off to the tractor.

We spotted the lamas, ponies and the church.

After the tractor ride we got to feed tge animals. Thete was cows, pifs, goays, donkeys, chickens abnd new baby lambs.

We were very lucky because they let us feed the baby lambs.

onmoyrbway back to school we fed the lamas.

It was a great hour spent at the farm and we came back with some good ideas for our farm.

Thank you to all those mummies who came to help. We hope you enjoyed it too. 😃

Glebe Farm visit

On Wednesday 4th March we are walking over to Glebe farm at 1.30 to see the animals, tractor and farm shop.

When we were planning our topic we said we wanted to go across the road. So we are going to look at the shop to get ideas for our farm shop.

The farm have said we can go on a ride and feed the animals. We need to bring £2 to pay for the food. This will be good practise for us in using our new money recognition skills. This last week we have been trying to remember all the british coins.

If any parents or family members wish to join us on our walk over to the farm and feeding of the animals, please let Miss Irwin know. The more the merrier 😃.

Hopefully, on Friday we will be able to discuss the difference between Glebe Farm and Stockley Farm.
