Parents Meeting

parents (2)

Dear Parents,

Please be aware the last school Newsletter included information about the upcoming parents meetings. I have received some slips but not many.
Please read the information on the newsletter and return your requested day and time slot. The day time slots are an extra 5 minutes longer, you might feel this extra time might be more beneficial to you if you have lots you wish to discuss.

Slots fill up quickly. As much as I do try to accommodate your request please be aware some times are more popular than others.

Read the Newsletter here. Newsletter 22nd October 2015

This week in the mornings there will be some slips for you to complete for the meetings if you need one. There will also be an email list for you to put your email on so I can send you a copy of your child’s observations so far. You will need to see this before the meeting so you are aware of their progress against their Early Learning Goals.

Here is a short guide that might be useful to new parents regarding the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). EYFS_Parents_Guide. If you have any questions this may be able to help you to answer them or help you to come with questions to ask.

Below is a link that will send you to the Government website that has exemplification material for what children should be expected to achieve by the summer term. These are good to read to see where your child has to work. During the meeting I will discuss with you how your child is progressing towards these goals and what you can do to support them at home.

EYFS exemplification for Early Learning Goals

As always any questions please come and ask me.

Kind regards

Miss Irwin

Thank you 😃

Dear Parents,

I would like to say a very big thank you for your attendance at Parents Evenings. As always your continued support in your children’s learning is grately appreciated.

All the extra help at home is really helping to make this cohort one of the most successful yet. Keep up the good work and remember  “Practise makes perfect”.

Next parents evening will be to discuss transition to the national curriculum and year 1. With also time to reflect and discuss their first year at school with their Early Years report.

I appologise for the lack of blog posts this week. Its very long days with parents evening and I do struggle to keep my brain awake for blogging. But I will hopefully be able to catch you up ASAP.

Kind regards

Miss Irwin

Parents Evening and Parent View

Parents Evening was a great success and Miss Irwin would like to thank all the parents for coming to talk about our progress.

Miss Irwin would also like to remind parents that their views are extremely important and that your feedback is vital to our learning and the school’s development.

This is why it is important to share your views with Miss Irwin but also on Parent View- the OFSTED site that collates parents views independently of the school.

Please follow this link and sign in and leave your opinions on the school. It doesn’t take longer than 5-10 minutes.

Parents Evening and Parent View

Dear Parents,

I would just like to say thank you to you all for coming to our Parents Evening. It was lovely to meet you all and share how well your child has been doing so far in Class Jonah. As always your feed back and responses to how we learn and do things in Class Jonah has been invaluable.

Please can you all make sure you go to Parent view on this link. http://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/

Parent View is the Ofsted site which allows all parents to give a response about their school. Please give your honest feedback on our school. It is an invaluable way of us showing how we support our parents and families with their children’s learning and it gives the school key points that we can work on to improve.

Many thanks again for your fantastic support.
