A Miracle in Town

Our first performance of our Nativity went really well today. Our weeks of practising finally proved that ‘Practice does make perfect’. We hope those of you watched the performance enjoyed it.

Today we went home with our cosy eps . We need to make sure that tomorrow night we come back to church for 5.15pm wearing our costumes.

School Nativity

Dear Parents,

As you will be aware our school Nativity is on Tuesday 15th December at 2pm and Wednesday 16th December at 5.30pm at the church.

All children in Reception have a part in the Nativity. The children’s lines have put in their bags please make sure your practicing them at home with your child. They need to be able to say their lines clearly and loudly. A CD was put in the school bags last week with all the songs on. Please listen to the music and get your child to teach you the actions to the songs.
All costumes will be provided by school but children will need to wear clothes under their costumes as they will be performing in church and it can be quite cold. We suggest that boys wear black trousers and a vest with school shoes and girls wear leggings, a vest and school shoes.

If you have any questions please let me know.

Kind regards

Miss Irwin

Nativity- Afternoon Performance

This afternoon we went over to church to perform our Nativity ‘Angel Express’.

Some of our mummies, daddies and grandparents go to come and see our wonderful acting and singing. This afternoon’s performance had to be the best performance we have done over the last 3 weeks. Well done everybody for working so hard and thank you everybody for coming to see us.

Nativity – Angel Express is coming to church

Monday is our dress rehearsal – all costumes are in school but a list was given of what clothes are needed to be worn underneath. Please can all clothes be brought in with a name on bags.

The performances dates and times are;
Tuesday start at 2.15.
Wednesday start at 5.30

On Wednesday children must be brought to church by parents and be in church by 5.15. Costumes will go home Tuesday so they can come already in them on Wednesday evening.
There will be reserved pews for Class Jonah and Year 6 parents.

Refreshments will be served for a donation, all money goes to classroom funds. There will be hot drinks and mince pies. Class Jonah will be making some but any extra mince pies that people can donate would be great. 😃

Any parents willing to help with serving refreshments before and after, please let Miss Irwin know.

Christmas time

So the Christmas decorations have been put up and our spirits are definitely festive.

We helped on Friday to start to get ready for Christmas. We have also been checking our Christmas countdown every morning. Class Jonah’s Christmas Countdown .

We have started to make our Christmas role-plays, we have got our Santa’s work shop inside where we need to wrap and label the Christmas presents. Outside we want to build a toy shop to buy presents in for Christmas to put on our Christmas lists.

Today we got to spend time with our buddies practising the Nativity play. That also helped us with our phonic writing. Then we also got some time in the afternoon where our buddies taught us how to make paper snowflakes for our windows and doors in the classroom.

We have loved today. 🙂

Only 7 sleeps until our Christmas Nativity shows.
