We are trying to develop an exciting culture of reading. As you may be aware reading can sometimes be quite boring for us and sometimes we can be too tired or we just don’t want to do it!
So Miss Irwin would like to invite all family members to come in and read with us on special stay and read sessions.
The sessions this term will be
Thursday 5th March (world book day-costumes optional for parents)
Thursday 19th March
Thursday 2nd April
This would be from 8.45-9.10 then we would have a later register. During a stay and read session we can read any books we like with you, it could be our reading books, our topic books, or other books in the classroom.
Its important that we share this time with you as reading is a life skill and if we can make it fun now then we will continue to do it with more enthusiasm at home.
Every session Miss Irwin will give us top tips on how to do amazing reading. This will hopefully help us and our adults feel excited about reading together.
Remember we don’t just have to read our paper books at home we can read them on bug club on the computer or tablet too!
