This week has been a very exciting week with Dinosaurs escaping and making traps we’ve almost managed to fit in doing some number work and writing. In our number work we learnt how to do use number lines to count groups of objects and we looked at also how big and small groups could be. We have learnt some new letters in our new phonic phase. We have practised our ‘Wow’ writing and some of us even wrote super sentences, using capital letters, finger spaces and full stops!
Next week we will be looking at ordering sizes of dinosaur bones in our numbers and we will be using our wonderful writing skills to write about Dinosaurs after our planned Dinosaur day on Wednesday. please don’t forget Dinosaur day and that we can dress up as Dinosaurs if we wish.
How you can help at home
- Practise our new letters and tricky words by reading them and putting them in words or sentences.
- Get us to practise saying the words we know when we are reading, because ‘If you know the word, you just say the word’.
- Practise counting groups of objects and putting them together to find out how many there is altogether.
Please make sure we have water bottles in school and a warm coat now the weather is getting cold.
Have a lovely weekend
