This week has been a learning explosion for everybody! Class Jonah have had so much fun making the story of the Hungry Caterpillar, making gloop like scientists and practising jumping off the springboard. We have been learning the ‘ear’ sound which is a little tricky. Then on Friday we had the School Council toy auction and bought some toys. Miss Irwin went to London and got some fantastic ideas to bring into class and school. J
Check out the class blog to see all the exciting photos from last week.
This week we will hopefully be measuring the rain in our rain catchers. We will also be planning to make wind chimes and kites, by thinking about what resources we need, then designing them and then making them. We will also be continuing with our phonics securing our old sounds and our new sounds ‘ear’ and ‘air’. We will be practising our super sentence writing and letter formation. In Maths we will be looking measuring and using words like longer, shorter, smaller, thinner, heavy, light and comparing things using these words. It’s going to be a very busy week.
If you have any wind chimes we could use to hang up outside in our learning area we would appreciate it.
How can you help at home?
